Behind the scene

Writing a book is a demanding task. I had no idea how involved it would be. I remember my friend Henry, reading my journal. Yes, a journal I was writing everything that happen during those incredible five years. “You got a story… you should write a book.” I looked up at my friend, is he kidding or what?

It was not long before Stella and I joined  writers group where we lived in Acton.

After reading pages of our story to our new friends, and getting laughs and encouragement. The idea of a book started to take shape.

It soon made its way in our circle, writers need help to their hard earned path as a writer. Our supporting group was great but we needed professional hand to the finish line. Luck, there was an editor in the group, with whom we tied up a tight relationship. Our budget was skimpy which made our progress slow. From the idea to the last page of our story, let’s say 10 years.

I have to admit it has been a marvelous ten years, working with Stella has been the most incredible journey. It went about like so. I write a passage of the story…. Stella reads it. She tears down the pages of my hard written story, and rewrite it, her own way. This might show you why the completion on the book took so long. Another aspect of our manuscript. Instead of write a long novel, we decided to write five books. Each book is a separate story and can be read separately, still the 5-books make the whole story.

Stormy Sophie is book-1 and available forty $0.99 for a short time. The last book Clint is ready, and completes the series.
