Basil Sandwich

This is a simple but an absolute delight sandwich, enjoy!

Ingredients

1 small loaf French bread (you can also use Foccacia or any other bread of your liking)

6 tablespoons basil pesto

6 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

salt and pepper, to taste

1/8 of a pound fresh mozzarella sliced

fresh basil leaves (a good dozen, more if you enjoy Basil to its max)

Steps

Slice with a diagonal the French bread (see the top picture.) Coat one side of each slice of bread with pesto add a sprinkle of olive oil. Layer the tomato slices on top of the one side of the bagette, add salt and pepper to taste. Then add the mozzarella slices and fresh basil leaves, then top with a second piece of bread. Do not toast the bread. This sandwich doesn’t need anything else it is naturally full of natural flavors, Enjoy!
