Turkey stuffing

Recipe of the Thanksgiving stuffing

Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes 

INGREDIENTS 

5 oz of chestnuts
4 large slices of 2 to 3 days old bread

1 onion cut into chunks
2 carrots sliced
1 Granny apple

6 oz Cointreau liquor

1 Orange zest  

2 Celery sprigs cut in small bites
8515 oz unsalted butter

5 to 10 black olives
1/2 cup of chicken broth
5 teaspoons chopped parsley
Black pepper and sea salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. roast the nuts  and chop them into chunks
  2. brake the bread into small bites and roast it in a pan with butter
  3. chop celery then add the onion in a pan with one soup spoon of butter for 7/8 minutes
  4. Add the bred nuts, apple chopped olive, carrots, parsley, and orange rinds. Halfway through the cooking add the Cointreau. Approx 9 minutes
  5. add the chicken broth, S & P.
  6. Cook the concoction on slow heat for 45 minutes to 1 hr. If the preparation becomes too dry add more chicken broth

NOTES 

This preparation is good for a 14 /15 lb turkey.
