Chateau Phelan Segur Saint Esthèphe 2017 $65 Expensive, but a collector piece
On the normal side, Phelan Segur is a bit rustic and rather good without being great. The year 2017 has been exciting. Lots of dark rich fruits, blackcurrants, and more, a touch of fruitcake, dense big tannins coated with minerals, exotic flowers, an impressive structure. Voluptuous and very appealing. Un Saint-Estèphe comme on l’aime! Enticing arômas, finesse, and plenty of tenderness. One of the best Saint Esthèphe we can ever remember!. St Estèphe is from the Mèdoc règion.
